the fact that the Hollister Official Rally no more exists, we will be
celebrating the 2012 Third Annual Corbin's Rider Appreciation Day, an event initiated by Mike Corbin and quickly becoming a motorcycle rally of its own. Proof of it, the "Independence Day Corbin Welcome Party" June 30th-July 2, is already attracting many new businesses of the industry jumping on board and scheduling Hollister events. This year they will be "Rocking The Blues" with: Jay Gordon and his Blues Venom Band along with The Backyard Blues Band. These two great bands will be playing on June 30th, (time to be announced) Jay's Band has, Jay Gordon (Lead & Slide Guitar & Vocals) Sharon Butcher (Bass Guitar & Vocals) & Rich Gordon Lambert (Drums), Harlen Spector (Hammond B3 & Piano) and special guest Mario Ramirez (Harmonica). They will be playing original songs from their latest CD "Blues Venom - No Cure" and other Rockin Blues & Boogie Hits. The Backyard Blues Band - The late great Ritchie Valens wasn't the only musical talent in this family. Ritchie's younger brother Mario Valens fronts this band along with guitarist and singer / songwriter Mr. Mike Baldwin. The Backyard Blues Band plays original BluesInfused/MexiBilly Rock n Roll along with a few of Ritchie Valens hits. Be ready for some hard hitting Rockin Blues and an energetic crowd pleasing performance. The Backyard Blues Band is Mario Valens on harp and vocals, Mike Baldwin on guitar and vocals along with Donnie Green on drums, and Sam Jellsey on bass guitar. |
